On tap for Friday: the Senate
UPDATE: For some reason unknown to Wolfe Reports, the Senate calendar is a bit of a red herring, and the bills will not be taken up until next week.

Friday is usually a day of rest for the General Assembly, but the Senate will be taking up Sen. Hugh Leatherman‘s Tax Realignment Commission bill again. On Thursday, debate on the bill was interrupted and it was moved that the debate resume the next day.
Several bills are up for second reading, including Sen. Glen McConnell‘s spending caps bill, a proposal that all highways be built to state standards and a bill to deter judicial candidates from lobbying members of the General Assembly.
The House has a clean calendar for Friday.
