Ole Miss finally jumps back to its place as the third-best team in the conference by knocking off LSU, though the win could as easily be credited to the poor clock management of Tiger coach Les Miles. As well, here’s where Carolina falls to its realistic position in the conference. By Tennessee defeating Vanderbilt, the Gamecocks are now officially in fifth place in the SEC East — certainly not where coach Steve Spurrier expected to have his team in his fifth year leading the squad.
