Everybody’s making mistakes
Friday, The State reported that Sen. Vince Sheheen‘s gubernatorial campaign made a few erroneous endorsements in a list sent out last week. It’s an easy enough mistake to make, which is why we wonder why campaigns put out lengthy endorsement lists. There always seems to be a cock-up one way or another.
In the story, Rep. Anton Gunn, who was included as one of the endorsers, said, “I haven’t endorsed anybody. I’ve got my own [re-election] race to concentrate on. I’m not mad [at Sheheen's campaign staff]. I know it was an honest mistake.”
The best part of the story was reporter Gina Smith ironically making a mistake of her own. Several times, she called Sheheen campaign manager Trav Robterson “Trav Roberts.”
Trav Roberts, Sheheen’s campaign manager, is taking the blame.
“This was an oversight on my part,” Roberts said Thursday. “We got very excited that nearly 60 percent of Democrats in the House and Senate were endorsing Vincent. Blame it on an overzealous campaign manager.”
Roberts would not discuss how the list was put together. He noted, even with the six Democrats removed from the list, a majority of Democrats at the State House are backing Sheheen.
But hey, it’s the Friday before St. Pat’s. Everybody gets a mulligan, right?

Everyone does make mistakes. You even made a few spelling mistakes in this very article. How ironic.
Could you point out the mistakes? Also, just post as “anonymous” if you’re going to put “tj@tj.com” as your email address.
Speaking of dishonest mistakes……….let’s see how Ann gets out of this one?

Speaking of making mistakes! A Jeffrey Supporter rips into a want-be idiot on the Conservative web site named Gary Coats
Jeffrey must think us “inbreds” are pretty stupid.* Gary
Only you Gary! I totaly agree that you either stupid or completely naive or simply a example of a terrible wrong inbred South Carolina Redneck marriage from past history.
I did some more research today and was able to develop a timeline for her presidential support claims. Folks, How much can one flop in the wind on this issue?
Unfortuately, I was unable to find an instance where she claimed to support Ron Paul. Her smoozing would sure indicate that she did, but we cannot find anything on record* Wiz bang reporter
No doubt you must be the dumbest rookie on-line wiz bang researcher in the history of the internet. In 1998, Congressman Ron Paul had a hugh fund raiser for Christina when she ran for Congress when Ron was not cool at that time. In 2004 she hosted a fund raiser for a Ron Paul candiate in a Congressional North Carolina race that had a massive turnout and the most attended semiar in the history of Duke University on diversity and the academic control of the Progressive corporate establishment on university campus’s…..She has always been a real trooper for the cause of liberty and anything you say is nothing but lies or simply stupidity or the lack of knowledge..I suggest you get your facts right and stop believing the myths of a phony Republican neo-con party which has destroy this nation.. Your claim as a conservative or somewhat of a tea party Paulie is phony as a 3 dollar Federal Reserve Note.
Republican Conservatism has bought this nation to being a waterboy for massive corporate corruption and greed, a party of endness war mongering for the military industrial complex,a legal system that uses the new police state laws such as the Patriot Acts along with the most massive corportate supression of free speach or whatever is left of our Constitutional Rights and finally bankrupting beyond any reason way to pay the national debt for the next 3 thousand years. You are like a stupid or fool barbarian in Germina in 53 BC, you don’t know when you are defeated by the legions of Rome before a battle..Shaped up or stop going to a community on-line college to get your knowledge of history and politics……
